Modern White Chicness

We loved designing a recent modern wedding at the Glendale Hilton Hotel. After planning and designing the wedding for over a year, we were so excited to see the beautiful outcome. We wanted the final look to be clean, modern and white. We worked with Martha from Martha & Co. as our florist and she brought the day’s vision to life. The rentals, provided by White Night Design, also played a large role in the design. The sweetheart table had a backdrop of acrylic panels with flowers adorning the top and sides. The middle panel had hanging roses, and the cake table was right underneath it. We also had calla lilies perched on clear stands for each side of the cake table for an eye-catching display.

We designed the floor plan with round guest tables along with three rectangular guest tables spread out on each side of the ballroom. We designed the floor plan with a combination of round and rectangular guest tables. The six rectangular tables had mirrored surfaces, each topped with an acrylic stand bar with flowers across the top, and clear candelabras on each side. The round tables were covered with ivory linens and two alternating centerpieces: one was a crescent shaped full of orchids, while the other had calla lilies, our bride’s favorite flower. All the guests’ plates had clear beaded chargers adorned with ivory napkins and thank you cards on top of them. The look of the tables was completed with clear presidential chairs with ivory padding.

The family tables were different and stood out a bit more then the rest of the guest tables. These rectangular tables (attached) with clear wynn chairs around the table and not any towards the dance floor. We had 3 bars of flowers going across the top of the table with hanging candle bulbs and flowers. My favorite part of these tables was the rose vials placed across the middle of the family tables like a runner, with each vial holding a single white rose. We had two of these long family tables (3 tables attached as one), one on each side of the dance floor. It was truly breathtaking to look at. All of the tables had clear acrylic table numbers with white calligraphy on white wooden stands. The entire room was draped in ivory with clear up lights. The hotel carpet was covered in white, and of course that completely changed the look of the ballroom. We had acrylic seating charts for guests with acrylic easels displayed in the foyer. Sheri from Creative Works created the acrylic seating chart and it was very chic. We loved working on this design and hopefully you enjoyed reading about it. ☺ All photos by SakoSan.
